Winter 2014 end

Dokidoki! Precure – 6/10
I found myself losing interest around the middle but it did pick up in the end. I also really loved the CG in the EDs! The ED songs were also great. Overall animation quality was definitely high, especially compared to the currently airing HappinessCharge :/ Rikka (Diamond) > Makoto (Sword) > Regina > Alice (Rosetta) > Aguri > Mana (Heart)

Go! Go! 575 – 6/10
Just short slice-of-life mini-eps w. The Vita game is fun! But really challenging at times :s

Golden Time – 6/10
Plot developments were kind of awkward and sudden… and what was with that awful new OP? Kouko is best girl, but overall this show was just… annoying. The ending really could have been better, too.

Log Horizon – 8/10
Akatsuki hnnngh. Can’t wait for season two!

Nagi no Asu kara – 7/10
This show seems like they tried to throw in as many dramatic twists as they could… some of which were unnecessary. It was still a nice show and the music was certainly top notch. Miuna was the only one that caught my attention at first, and she actually ended up being important in the second half! Miuna > Sayu > Akari > Chisaki > Manaka

Nourin – 5/10
It got my hopes up with that idol scene at the start… and then suddenly it never mattered anymore ;_; Ringo is still kinda cute though. On the other hand Minori is the worst thing ever. Ringo > …there were other girls?

Saki Zenkoku-hen – 7/10
Way too short. Damn you, Kobayashi Ritz. Kind of hard to do girl ranking when there are 500 of them.

Seitokai Yakuindomo* – 4/10
The over-the-top sex jokes were amusing in the first season, but now they’ve totally lost their freshness and the frequency just makes them seem forced and unfunny. It’s like they thought they could replace actual comedy with random mosaics and innuendo. But the Suzu head markers were awesome; definitely liked those.

SoniAni – 4/10
I’m not really sure what I was expecting… The best episode was the cat episode. Suzu is good.

Tokyo Ravens – 6/10
Plot-wise it was quite good but personally it didn’t interest me. And I ended up not really liking any of the characters after all. Suzuka > Kyouko > Natsume > Kon

Wake Up, Girls! (including movie) – 8/10
A realistic take on an idol show, with production values the likes of which no idol show has stooped down to before (thankfully). But I still enjoyed it a lot; all of the girls except Airi are cute and likeable and the music is extremely catchy. The drama also played out very naturally – it was actually believable. I hope WUG-chan will be popular enough to get a second season! Miyu!!! > Mayushi > Yoppii > Minyami > Kaya > Nanami > Yoshimegu > Shiho > Nanokasu > Maimai > Airi
