General Tips

  • Akihiko, Fuuka, Aigis, Ken, and Elizabeth’s requirements will naturally get completed as you continue to play
  • Yukari and Junpei require equipping different costumes/accessories, so before each song, change your dancers’ equipment to items marked with “NEW”
  • For Mitsuru rank 6 and 8, feel free to turn on support modes at the same time (and knock out 最強の矛と盾 while you’re at it)
  • For Mitsuru’s other ranks, challenge modes are unlocked through other COMMUs (mostly Akihiko and Mitsuru) as well as the following:
    • Clear a song with note speed set to 1
    • Clear a song with note speed set to 7
    • Clear 3 songs with note speed set to something other than 4
    • Clear a song with challenge ノートが途中から消える or ノートが途中から現れる
    • Clear a song with challenge ノートに緩急がつく
    • Clear a song with challenge ノート配置が反転する
    • Hit 100 scratch notes (auto-scratch support counts)
    • Do the フィーバーについて tutorial
    • Clear a song with 3+ supports enabled
    • Fail a song within 10 seconds
  • For the support modes, most of them are unlocked through COMMUs but there are a few exceptions:
    • Fail a stage mid-song
    • Clear a song without doing a single scratch
    • Do the プレイカスタムについて tutorial

COMMU Events

P3/5D don’t have a story mode, but they do have events with your party members that you unlock by meeting certain requirements, kind of like the in-game achievements in P4D. Starting from rank 6, you can look around their rooms.

    • I recommend turning down the in-game brightness if you haven’t already–it’s one of the options although I don’t have a screenshot handy atm. This makes it a lot easier to see the notes. Other than that, the support modes are there to help you adjust the difficulty based on your needs, and above all, practice makes perfect :)

    • Try with “Auto-Scratch” (so that you can concentrate completely on the notes) and “GOOD doesn’t break combo” .
      If that isn’t enough, add “less damage from MISS”.
      And if that isn’t enough, you can go all-in with supports.

    • You can do it after you cleared a stage, from the results screen select リプレイを見る on the menu that pops up.

      Or you can go to any stage you’ve already cleared and select リプレイ再生 under “Game Mode”

  5. I need some help with Aigis’ trophy. I’ve done every dance where she is the main and the partner, but no pop. Is it possible I’m missing something? Went by the list and the chart here. Thanks.

        • Welp, replayed When The Moon’s Reaching Out Stars (Hideki Naganuma Remix) on Easy and got it. I don’t think there was any way I missed fevers on that lol… unless maybe that was the song I did the “Use no scratch notes” for the challenge. oh well haha.

    • IIRC 全ての人の魂の詩 (T.komine Remix) is unlocked after clearing the story (i.e. Elizabeth COMMU 8), and Moonlight Serendipity is unlocked after clearing that song.

  8. Thank you for the wonderful guide! I’m all done thanks to you elaborating on which characters dance together to which songs. An addition to the Songs portion is that the character may be available as an AUTO selection in a lower difficultly for the same song, for example with Aigis in Time (ATLUS Kitajoh Remix) [All Night] and I was able to get her trophy that was with all support modifiers because why not?

    should i get brilliant in all songs in every diff or can i get it in easy? Ken’s social is the worst. Gotta thank you also, your guide helped me a lot with mods.

    • It’s been a long time so I don’t remember exactly, but I *think* it’s supposed to be separate difficulties. But you don’t need to get brilliant in every difficulty at least; easy + normal + some hards would be enough, and you can use support mods to help. I’m not 100% sure though; you may want to test and see if the counter goes up on a repeat.
